How can he lead the nation when he cannot even organize his own cabinet?

There is a lot of talk over the past couple of days of rewriting history.  I really don't know which side is promoting this idea.  I do know that it is in regards to the confederate monuments being removed from all around the nation, well mainly the south.  But still.

Here are my thoughts.

The south lost the civil war.  Ever since the south lost the civil war, there is evidence that there has always been a group of citizens that denied the loss. Lots of talk about succession.  Monuments were erected to honor the leaders that ultimately lost the battle.  Sure Lee was a very popular General.  He probably would be in Trumps cabinet if he were alive today.

I really don't have an issue with Confederate monuments when they considered as just a monument.  The real problem is that the monuments represent hate and segregation to a group of people who believe they are superior to anyone that is unlike themselves.  Which turns them into of a symbol of oppression to every other group of people.  If it were just a statue that people could look at and see just a statue, fine.  But clearly, they are not.  Therefore, they do not belong on public display.  Remove them  put them in storage, put them in a museum. I don't really care. The Republic should demand it. And has.

The North won.  Taking down the monuments is not rewriting history.  Removing the monuments reminds the people that the Republic won the battle of equality for all the people.  In theory anyway.

I find it very telling that it took 2 days and condemnation from everyone but the white supremacists, to elicit an appropriate response from Trump.

Will we go to war with North Korea or Venezuela? Who knows.  So many different messages coming out of the white house.  It is crazy.

Back to the White Nazi uprising.....Even his fucking daughter came up with a succinct response to the violence.

The alt right feel empowered by Trumps non response to their violence.  David Duke made a statement that the President supports his cause.  Deplorable.

For years I've said that it didn't really matter who the President was, that what really mattered was what Congress was doing while we bickered about everything and nothing.  We fight about the things we've been trained to fight about, but we don't look for solutions or compromise. We're too busy being right.  It never occurred to me that we'd elect someone like The Donald as President. But here we are. 

Torches.  They carried torches through the streets of an American city, chanting "Jews will not replace us!" and "Blood and soil."  It's 2017, but it might as well be 1956.  Some self righteous asshat who looks like me, drove his car into a crowd of my brothers and sisters.  Have we learned nothing?  

I was wrong.  Who we elect matters.  This unstable reality TV star is going to get many, MANY people killed.

Fire and Fury

How do I feel about fire and fury? Scared.  All of the Presidents cabinet and advisors are saying not to listen to Potus.  Don't worry.  Be calm.  How?  There are now two unstable leaders that are threatening nuclear strikes.  North Korea claims they will send 4 missiles over Japan to hit guam.  I doubt that Potus knows where Guam is located.

I really hope that something happens to bring the tone down.  You would think that a man on vacation would have better things to do than sit on the toilet and tweet horrible inflammatory statements about Republicans, Koreans, Catholics, Gays and infant children.  I really don't know if he has insulted all of these groups in the past 24 hours, but it is only mid day.  Anything can happen in 8 hours.
